Teochew-style noodle stall at Albert Centre serving signature dry-tossed and laksa noodles.
Chao Zhou Mee is a Teochew noodle stall at Albert Centre Market & Food Centre, specialising in dry-tossed noodles and laksa served in the Teochew tradition. The stall has attracted a steady stream of customers drawn to its signature bowls, where springy noodles are coated in a well-balanced seasoning and topped with ingredients like fishballs and sliced meat. The laksa variant offers a lighter, more herbaceous take compared to the richer coconut-based versions found elsewhere. Prices start from around five dollars, and the stall operates during standard hawker centre hours. Regulars appreciate the consistent quality and the straightforward, no-fuss preparation that highlights the natural flavours of the ingredients. For anyone visiting the Queen Street hawker scene, Chao Zhou Mee is a solid Teochew option — unpretentious cooking that speaks for itself.Operating hours not available

The noodles taste like soil, unable to take a second bite. The owner asked the assistant to cook, guided her alongside, but the taste is really off. Maybe put the wrong sauce?

Nice Bak Chor Mee ($5) and Fishball Noodles ($4). The queue was long due to the meticulous owner carefully making each bowl with great attention to detail.

Highly recommend their fishball noodles. You can taste the fish in the fishballs, made from their signature yellowtail fish. Portion sizes are decent and I recommend the $5 portion.

Seriously good kolo mee, the best I've had. Sauce is amazing and they handmake their fishballs. …
