I went to the Bugis branch after my work about 730pm on 14 July.The store is not very busy at that time. There are only one or two groups of customers in front of me who are paying. The store is quite small and only one female staff on shifts, I began to choose what I wanted to buy, and then I found that I still need some pack of salted egg fish skin flavor (small pack)and the low layer was all taken away. I looked up and saw that there was still a packet on the second layer, but I couldn‘t reach it. Because I can‘t get the upper shelf, I have to ask the female staff for help. I said, “Hi, I want that small bag. Can you take it down for me?” The shop assistant said, “Oh, I can’t get that. I can‘t give it to you. If you want, you can take the big bag below.” (I paused and thought for five seconds. I was thinking that the goods were lined up over there. How could I not get them? Does it mean that it’s as bad as I thought? Or did I misunderstand? Maybe she meant that someone ordered it?) In order to confirm that it‘s not the bad meaning I thought, I don’t want to misunderstand her. I Ask the female staff again: “ermmmm... What does your can‘t get it to me mean? Someone ordered it or something? The female staff said, “No, I just can‘t get it for you! It’s too high for me to reach. “ Then she answered, ”If you can get it yourself, then you only can buy it lor . She spoke in a very reasonable and upright manner…. Response of female shop assistant and above make me so confused and disappointed, and I didn‘t know how to deal with her in an instant so I choose to not purchase anything and leave it. What the hell? Do I have to get something that is placing at the high container by myself? “Only will sell it to me if you can get it.” ( Such a high container, when you usually replenish the goods, don’t you never have to replenish the goods on the top two floors? Is there no low stool or long stick to assist in the store?) Is her response worth my consumption in this store? I can understand that if there are really no auxiliary tools in the store to reach the high container, if she can choose to explain politely to the me, but it’s not this kind of responsive attitude towards the customer.
