Nrityalaya Aesthetics Society is the dedicated teaching wing of Bhaskar's Arts Academy, offering classes in traditional Indian classical dance and music from its premises at Bras Basah Complex. Founded by the late KP Bhaskar in the late 1940s and established in Singapore in 1952, the society has trained generations of dancers and musicians, with more than 200 arangetrams, or debut graduation presentations, conducted over the decades.|||The society currently boasts over 800 students and offers courses spanning Bharatanatyam, other classical dance forms, traditional music, theatre, and yoga. Talented students from Nrityalaya are selected to join Bhaskar's Arts Academy's Core Dancers' Programme and the youth orchestra Swathi, providing pathways from learning to professional performance. The academy also maintains its own Kathakali troupe, the only one of its kind outside India.|||For anyone interested in Indian classical dance and music, Nrityalaya Aesthetics Society at Bras Basah Complex offers instruction rooted in a rich artistic legacy. Enrol in a class and connect with one of Singapore's longest-running Indian arts institutions.
